Evaporators are one of the most important components of the refrigeration cycle. They ensure efficient cooling of every point of areas such as cold rooms and cold storage. There are different types of evaporators, which are integral parts of freezers, cold rooms and cold storages.
Evaporators are a part of the cooling process and are devices that allow the refrigerant to turn into a gas by taking the heat from the environment. Thanks to these devices, the heat in the environment or object is quickly removed and the cooling process is carried out.

How Do Evaporators Cool?

The cooling process in cold storage or cold rooms is a cycle and constantly repeats itself. Evaporators, one of the most critical components of this cycle, play the role of heat sinks by taking heat from the environment.
The refrigerant in cooling systems comes to the evaporators in a liquid form. The pipes of evaporators are designed for cooling. The refrigerant fluid moving in these pipes begins to take in the heat from the environment and gets warmer, thanks to the low pressure. The refrigerant, which receives enough heat, begins to evaporate and exits the evaporator. The role of evaporators is completed at this point.
The vapor of the refrigerant coming out of the evaporator is carried to the compressor. It is sent to the condenser with the high pressure created by the compressor. Here it cools down, becomes liquid again and goes back to the evaporators. The cooling cycle follows and repeats in this way.
